Dassault's Rafale-F2 (the one with air-to-surface capability) will enter service in late 2005. France plans to upgrade the air-to-air F1s to F2 standard under a new $930 million contract with Dassault. The Rafale-F3 will basically be a Rafale-F2 with the additional equipment and software to carry the nuclear ASMP-A missile.--Stephen V Cole
