The Swiss company MOWAG (owned by General Motors of Canada) has unveiled its new Piranha-IV eight-wheeled armored car. Vickers has signed an agreement to market the vehicle in Britain and other markets.--Stephen V Cole

Spain has ordered 22 new Italian 8x8 Centauro wheeled armored cars for $70 million. The Centauro is armed with a 105mm cannon. It has a crew of four and can carry four dismounted scouts. Italy has about 400 Centauros.--Stephen V Cole
