Vehicle losses during the peacekeeping phase of the Iraq campaign have so far amounted to three M2A2 Bradleys, one Stryker and some 260 trucks of various sizes (including hummers.) The replacement cost of these vehicles is about $102 million. To cut down on the losses, another 1,400 trucks will have armor added, at a cost of about $95,000 per truck. The army is also going to buy bullet proof protective vests for everyone in the army. That means another 840,000 vests, at a cost of $350 each.
