The US Air Force Space Vehicles Directorate is trying to develop small lightweight sensors that could be added to other satellites without compromising their missions. These sensors would then be able to determine if the satellite was under attack by laser or radio-frequency weapons and alert the ground crews to take action (such as quickly maneuvering the satellites).--Stephen V Cole
