Poland has evaluated the offer of used diesel submarines, ranking the Norwegian Kobben's as the best, followed by the French Agostas and the Israeli Gals. The most logical plan would be to use the Kobben's for a decade and then replace them with the new Viking-class boats being built jointly by the Scandinavian countries. --Stephen V Cole
