The Angolan government claimed that eight leaders of the Cabinda Enclave Liberation Front-Cabinda Armed Forces (FLEC-FAC) surrendered to Angolan troops. The FLEC-FAC is the most militant faction of the Cabinda Liberation Movement which has been trying to win independence for Cabinda from Angola since 1975.
