Pakistan is developing its own unmanned aerial drone, which it calls the Bravo. This has a straight wing, pusher propeller, and twin tail booms. It has demonstrated a range of 80km, an endurance of four hours, and a top speed of 160km/hr. It can carry a payload of up to 20kg, which will initially be either a charged-couple television or infrared camera. Next in line for development is an electronic counter-measures package. Pakistan is also developing a larger drone known as the Shaspar, which will have a range of 250km and a payload of 50kg. This larger drone is 18 months from flying.--Stephen V Cole
