Abdullah Syafei, the Aceh rebel leader the government said was near death from wounds, gave an interview and demonstrated that he was healthy and uninjured. In Aceh, several incidents produced seven more dead in the continuing separatist violence. The death toll so far this year is over 200 in Aceh.
