President Wahid inches closer to leaving office, either via impeachment or resignation. Wahid has maneuvered to avoid losing his post, but this has only delayed the process and gained him more enemies. It would appear that his vice president (Megawati Sukarnoputri), and opponent in the presidential elections he won, will succeed him.
