The U.S. and Australia have warned their citizens to stay away from Indonesia because of the increased threat of terror attacks during the holidays. Despite energetic government efforts to find and arrest Islamic terrorists, there are still powerful Islamic organizations, and neighborhoods, that offer protection for Islamic radicals. There are not many Islamic radicals in the country, but they can still carry out attacks, and there is apparently evidence that such attacks are planned against hotels full of foreigners celebrating Christmas and New Year.
